TSS:Memory:`Chapter 11

(yet again unedited chapter, this one was a bit rushed, Message me complaints, and this chapter is short but to make up for it at the bottom of the chapter is a teaser for Mantel of Time)

Twilight stood alone once again in darkness, the light of her horn the only thing keeping the dark from engulfing her. She heard things in the darkness, whispers, laughter, she was afraid but she knew in her heart that she needed to stay brave. Terra was no where to be seen, the two had been separated as they entered into the next memory. The laughter grew closer as Twilight stood her ground. Out of the never ending abyss came a shade in its true form, it was a shadowy creature with sharp claws in place of hoofs, its only facial expression being it's mouth full of razor sharp white teeth and the blood red eyes.It had a ghost like tail that seemed like it had a mind of its own.

"You are alone little pony" It said circling around Twilight, its voice chilling her soul to the very core. "What happened to your God Queen? Was she to afraid to face us" It hissed in Twilight's ear.

Twilight tried not to look afraid as she continued to stand her ground. "I am not afraid of you monster, I've faced Dragons and Gods before what makes you any more challenging?!" she questioned

It laughed, a bone chilling laugh that seemed to echo off of invisible walls. "In those moments that you speak of child, you had your friends to aid you." out of the shadows came two more shades, they began to circle Twilight in a fashion similar to that of a Timber Wolf pack. "You are alone here, your goddess is lost to you, and you are weak, you cannot defeat us" It's voice was low and menacing.

Twilight smiled a cocky smile as she prepared for battle "Do not get so cocky spirit, the odds of you beating me are as low as your IQ" She chuckled at her own joke 'when did I start talking back to ponies?' Twilight questioned herself as the Shades continued to circle her. 'It must be because Terra's inside my head somewhere, from what I've gathered about her she loved to talk smack to her opponents, speaking of Terra where is she?' Twilight braced herself as one of the shades charged her. 'Wait why am I talking to my self?....When did I start saying the word "smack?"'

Terra looked onto the vast army of Shades before her and smiled as they drew closer to her, "Well, this is different" she lunged towards the army "HAVE AT THEE!" she shouted

Twilight dodged skill fully as two of the shades attacked her, using her magic to erect a barrier between her and her offenders. "why do you insist on fighting me!" Twilight yelled to her opponents "It would be easier to just leave and live than to fight and die for no reason!" she kicked a shade away from her as it began to try and grab her.

"We fight for the Night Queen, We fight for her and she gives us reason!" One of the shades shouted as it grabbed Twilight and knocked her to the ground. Twilight bucked her legs, pushing the shade off of her, she then used her magic to blast back another from behind her.

"What reason would that be!" she growled as two of the shades moved forward to attack her. She sighed,the shades wouldn't listen to reason or logic and she couldn't defend forever. Twilight just continued to back up as the shades continued there assault on her. she felt a sharp pain in her left shoulder, a shade had managed to get past the barrier and landed a blow on her. her knees buckled as the shades continued to pound on her shield and her focus began to waver. 'is this it? is this how I'm to die? being beaten to death by shades in my own subconscious?' the barrier began to crack even more the shades now beating on it harder, they're goal within reach.

Twilight was ready to die, the barrier dissipated and the shades now stood above her, smiling they're evil smiles. the lead shade grabbed her by the neck and lifted her to It's eye level and it began to speak. "You have lost to us pony, and once you are gone our queen will reward us greatly, now then prepare for destruction" It lifted its claw and jabbed towards Twilight's heart, 'this is it, goodbye everypony' Twilight was about to accept her death as she closed her eyes,but before the shade's claw could make contact, a powerful force blew the shades away from Twilight. the lead shade had recovered faster from the blow than the other two and proceeded to look over at Twilight's position. She was floating in the air,and a tiara with a six point star gem in its center rested atop her head. "What is this" It growled as the a purple light enveloped Twilight.

Twilight opened her eyes, they where as white as the sun, and she spoke with a voice that had not been heard for thousands of years. "You dare" The voice growled to the shades "You dare come into my home, My mind, and attack me!" Twilight landed on the ground "We gave you chance to leave, to hold your peace and survive" Twilight walked towards the creatures, the darkness seemed to flee away from her very presence. The lead shade moved his head in Twilight's direction ordering them to attack, the two did as they were ordered charging the unicorn, claws raised to the sky. but they burned as if they had tried to touch the sun. the lead shade then tried to flee into the darkness and try to make it to safety, but Twilight used her magic to drag It back to her, she brought It to eye level and smiled at it.

"You are afraid demon?" Twilight asked her voice still rang with that of the other, the shade nodded and Twilight tilted her head "Do you think that I am going to do to you like I did your comrades?" She asked It and It nodded "Well,answer me this and I promise you I won't end your miserable existence, How many more of you are there in my mind" She asked the shade.

"O..One" It stammered as Twilight dropped it, happy with its answer. She turned to leave the shade behind to find Terra but she stopped "Now go before I change my mind" she growled to the shade, It ran back to the shadows and she left, the light dissipating once again as she calmed down.

Terra stood atop of a mountain of shades that had been killed in a senseless attempt to kill the Goddess of the Earth. She tossed another shade down the pile as she smiled at her work. She wasn't one for battle but she also wasn't one to be not retaliate when attacked. before she left she noticed the shade that Twilight had fought trying to sneak past her. she appeared behind it and keeled down and whispered in its ear "Now where doth thy think thou art going" the shade instantly tensed up as it was grabbed by Terra's powerful magic "Now where is Twilight Sparkle." she asked with a polite smile on her face. The shade pointed to a light off in the distance and was dropped by Terra, who then turned to look at the light "You are in luck, creature, I am feeling merciful today, now leave" with that said she flew off towards the light leaving the shade blinking and thanking what ever god it was that shades thanked that it was spared.

Twilight looked at the portal to the memory with anger in her eyes, she had had enough of these shades running a muck in her mind, she had had enough of being peaceful and talking about one's problems. She was prepared to go in to that last memory and show the shade that resided in it that she meant business. She stepped forward into the portal and entered it right as Terra landed. Terra began to run towards the portal, but she was to late it had already closed and now Twilight had to face the last Shade on her own. The Queen Goddess sat down on her hunches and began to wait, praying that Twilight knew what she was doing.

Dear Diary,

I am sorry for not writing in you recently old friend, but as you know I've been busy, you know being pregnant and all. but I've been feeling weird lately, it feels as if my very life is being sucked away and I'm not even a full time parent yet! I asked my doctor about this and he told me that it's just the beginning of morning sickness kicking in. But I know its more than that, I know I should trust my doctor, but its getting harder and harder to believe him, I asked my mother what morning sickness felt like and what she described was nothing like what I was feeling, and she should know she's had 4 children! The doctor said that I was going to have a filly, and I think I know what I'm going to name her. She will be named Stardust, after all of my journeys with him, the stallion in the blue box, the one who upholds the rules of time and space.....That actually sounds like it should be a book, don't you think? I think that when Stardust is born and I have enough money to quit my current job, I will begin to write a book about that stallion, whom I met all those years ago. I think I'll entitled it

The Mantel of Time

But that's enough rambling about randomness, I have another appointment with my doctor in 40 minutes and I don't want to get lost in thought, like i normally do when I write these entries so until we meet again.
