Celestia's sun was shining down on Ponyville, giving a warm afternoon feel for the residents. While most of the ponyfolk were relaxed, there was one light blue pegasus who was racing towards her destination. It was Rainbow Dash, whose multi-colored mane was a blur to anypony who saw her. Finally landing in front of the Ponyville library, she checked the saddlebag on her back, double-checking to make sure it had not fallen off mid-flight, which it had a tendency to do. After her examination, she knocked on the door.

Celestia's sun shined down upon Ponyville. It was a warm and pleasant day for all the ponies that were out and about. One blue pegasus, however, was a bit uneasy as she flew towards the library. Rainbow Dash, who convinced herself the night before to follow her friend's advice about being forward with her feelings, was in a panicky state. She couldn't help but feel nervous. Dash never had to tell anypony how she felt about them, and most of the time she didn't feel a need to. But now, she was given the task to tell Spike how she felt about him.

The next morning, Rainbow Dash woke up at her home in Cloudsdale. She dragged herself to the window of her room to find that Celestia's sun was high in the sky, meaning it was the afternoon. Scratching her head and unkempt mane with one of her hooves, she trotted to the restroom so she could have a quick shower. Her face was one that lacked apparent emotion. Inside of her head, Dash was still asking herself the question she could not answer the night before. Did she really have a crush on Spike?

The Dragon:Pony Treaty

Whereas She of the Wyrmstadt and Princess Celestia of Equestria, desirous of a peaceful end to the bloodshed, make this day this agreement:

Clause 1: No dragon shall hunt or eat a pony

Clause 2: No pony shall hunt and kill a dragon

Clause 3: Any dragon shall permit ponies to maintain their settlements within the his/her territory

Clause 4: No pony shall force a dragon from his/her territory

Clause 5: Dragons shall not hunt or eat any domesticated animals owned and/or bred by ponies

Clause 6: Ponies shall not exercise their magic within a dragon's territory, pony settlements excepted

Clause 7: Ponies shall not control the weather within a dragon's territory, pony settlements excepted

Clause 8: Dragons shall protect their territory from all invaders; this includes ponies

Clause 9: Ponies shall defend their homes from all invaders; this includes dragons

Clause 10: Ponies shall not interfere with the sacred duel of two dragons unless the duel poses a direct threat to a town, settlement or city.

Clause 11: Ponies shall not steal from a dragons horde

Clause 12: Dragons may not use their fire near or around a pony settlement unless permission is given or unless it is requested by the ponies of the settlement

Clause 13: Dragon eggs may not be taken from their nest unless the nest is abandoned.

Clause 14: Dragon duels must be fought away from a pony settlement and be witnessed by an ambassador of the Wyrmstadt.

Clause 15: The Royal Princesses may not interfere with Draconian issues unless it affects ponies or unless it is requested

Clause 16: Ignorance of these laws is not a defence

Anypony or Anydragon who has broken these laws risks severe punishment that shall be decided either by her majesty Princess Celestia of Equestria or She of the Wyrmstadt. To ensure that all ponies and dragons know of these laws they will be posted in schools and taught to all dragons who intend to make their homes in Equestria.

I asked :icondetermamfidd: if i could make up some of the laws for the treaty in his awesome fan fic It Takes a village so heres what we came up with 1-8 are his laws that he made and 9-15 are the ones i made

Well done man. I like that the two sides did agree to a mutually respectful accord; it shows that though both sides are very different, both look beyond the immediate to the bigger picture. They see what open war between the two species could do and work to curb any possible antagonism, respect one another's traditions and way of life, and simply live side by side. Kinda wish humans could figure that out.

You know something that's always confused me on a small level in regards to this show/fandom: Why isn't "Anyone" used as a catch all term? Admitedly it isn't often there's enough of more than one species in a conversation for it to be necessary, but it seems like it would save time. It's not a problem, just something that I've been thinking about for a bit.

Human's will never figure it out because as long as we exist as a species we will always want more power. Thats why Communism will never work because no matter what you do Someone will want more power and take over corrupting the government from such a nice little thing into an iron walled Juggernaut

Sad but true in most regards. I keep hoping that as more time passes, we'll outgrow that unfortunate tendency. I mean that kind of ambition has served us as much as it's hurt us.
